- StepStone Media Library
- Expanding repository of media available for import into StepStone Paths. The library includes detailed filtering and search tools, persistent account “lightboxes,” accessibility-forward images for backgrounds, etc., and easy importing of multiple media selections across multiple search/filter passes.
- Accessibility Check Toolset
- StepStone Path Builder toolset for assisting Authors in creating accessible content. Features include a customizable, persistent scan mode for accessibility management during Path authoring, full-Path scanning, media and Step accessibility confirmation tagging, and a separate accessibility check tool for the StepStone Clipboard Manager.
- Expanded Rich Text Editor Controls and StepStone Player Handling
- Certain rich text editor fields provide new controls including text size, text color and highlighting, and font options. Includes improvements in list indentation and list-item marker auto-styling.
- Updated Image Layout
- There are now Primary and Secondary images. Context-Display images are now labeled as Primary images and continue to take on alt text or captions as assigned by the author. Formerly “Accent” images (only available for accent or decoration, and thus always excluded from screenreader tab order), authors can now add captions, alt text, and apply additional framing controls to Secondary images. Secondary images without a caption or alt text are considered decorative and are excluded from screenreader tab order.
- Additional Step Assessment Feedback Styling Options
- Appearance of Feedback from Step Assessments can now be be modified. For example, an Incorrect result feedback can be assigned a Correct label and background color, displaying to the learner as a standard Correct feedback result. Authors can also create custom feedback appearances, including author-defined background colors and title icon/color/text. Custom colors for feedback backgrounds and/or icons can be labeled and saved to a user’s account to be recalled and re-used across different Paths.
- Authoring Label Fields for Media
- Authors can better identify/organize Path media using non-learner-facing, optional fields for labeling media. Media imported from the StepStone Media Library always includes these labels for convenience.
- Authoring Tools: Dark Mode
- An option for a darker interface for the authoring tools is available in the user preferences.
- Admin Tools: Copy Paths to Authors
- Admin users can now distribute multiple Paths from an Author Pool account to multiple accounts in the same Pool.
- Bug Fixes and Updates
- Updated accessibility in StepStone Player. Includes improvements to default user interface/background/text contrast, text size and spacing, screenreader navigation and screenreader-only descriptive text.
- Significant changes to user interface labeling in the StepStone authoring tools, based on user feedback and usage patterns.
- Updated Media Manager and Clipboard Manager panels.
- Core library updates providing important new functionality and improved performance.
