Bio

Dr. Nicola L. Ritter is an Instructional Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Integrative Biosciences and Director of the Center for Educational Technologies (CET) at Texas A&M University. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and has over 18 years of experience in educational technology, curriculum development, and program evaluation. Dr. Ritter leads CET’s research and service initiatives, managing a multidisciplinary team that supports the development of innovative instructional materials for veterinary and STEM education.

Her research focuses on the design, implementation, and evaluation of online and blended learning resources for diverse learners, from middle school students to professionals. She has served as Principal Investigator on numerous federally funded projects, securing over $7.75 million in grants from agencies such as USDA, NIH, and DOJ. Her work has resulted in widely adopted educational programs used in over 195 countries.

Dr. Ritter is also a skilled psychometrician with expertise in test development and assessment validation. She has authored peer-reviewed publications, developed over 60 educational apps, and received multiple awards for innovation in education, including the Texas A&M GoWeb Award for Transformational Education.
