Vaccine Hesitancy  Videos

Lively educational videos for school-age children, addressing vaccine concerns.

A team of researchers from Texas A&M University aims to improve vaccine coverage and acceptance among populations experiencing a high level of vaccine hesitancy by increasing access to educational information.

BACKGROUND

With the input of specialists, we developed innovative educational resources to address the high level of vaccine hesitancy among rural communities. The “Vaccines & You” video series aims to improve literacy on immunology, provide information on research and development, and alleviate fears and concerns about vaccines. We created the NIH-funded project to improve vaccination coverage and provide community health leaders with educational resources to share among communities at risk for vaccine hesitancy.

OUR APPROACH

The video series promotes a positive view about the role of vaccines in public health among school-age children and the medically underserved. Through a five-video series, our project discusses bacteria, viruses, simple immunology, vaccine myths, and vaccine concerns. These resources increase information on vaccines, how they are made, and debunk common vaccine myths and misconceptions.
