
The Center for Educational Technologies (CET) is pleased to welcome Mayra Mendoza as the Center’s new Administrative Coordinator. In this role, Mayra will serve as the Office Manager for CET, overseeing daily operations and supporting the Center’s research, teaching, and outreach activities.
Mayra brings more than a decade of experience in higher education administration, program coordination, and operations management within the Texas A&M University System. Her professional background reflects deep expertise in managing complex, grant-funded programs, coordinating personnel and learners, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating communication across multidisciplinary teams .
Role and Responsibilities at CET
As Administrative Coordinator, Mayra is responsible for coordinating the Center’s administrative functions, managing office operations and facilities, supporting staff and student workers, and serving as a key liaison between CET and university administrative offices. Her position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient workflows, strong internal communication, and adherence to university policies and procedures. This role also supports CET’s externally funded research and training initiatives through operational oversight, documentation, scheduling, and reporting .
In addition, Mayra will assist with process improvement initiatives, resource management, travel coordination, and outreach efforts—helping CET continue to deliver high-quality, technology-enhanced educational programs with global reach.
Professional Background
Prior to joining CET, Mayra served in program coordination and management roles across several Texas A&M colleges, including the College of Medicine and the College of Nursing. Most recently, she supported HRSA-funded grant initiatives, managed learners and personnel, coordinated training activities, and assisted with data collection and reporting to federal funders. Her experience includes overseeing compliance processes for large student populations, coordinating immersive educational experiences, managing logistics and budgets, and collaborating closely with faculty, administrators, and external partners .
Mayra holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Texas A&M University and brings strong skills in operations management, customer service, communication, and bilingual engagement (English/Spanish). Her background in healthcare and academic environments positions her well to support CET’s multidisciplinary mission.
