
Alison Diesel, DVM, Dip ACVD, Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine & Biomedical Sciences
Dr. Alison Diesel is a clinical associate professor focused primarily on clinical service to dermatology patients and teaching veterinary students. Her teaching interests lie in developing integrated and novel teaching methods to enhance the veterinary curriculum, along with clinical teaching to fourth year veterinary students on the hospital floor. Additionally, she aims to spread knowledge on practical veterinary dermatology to veterinary practitioners through various local, regional, and national continuing education lectures. Dr. Diesel's research interests focus on inflammatory skin disease in companion animals (most specifically feline allergic skin disease), potential clinical applications of microbiome research, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcal skin infections, and applications of radiation therapy in the dermatology patient.

Andrew Hillier, BVSc, MACVSc, Dip ACVD, Veterinary Specialty Team, Zoetis
Dr. Andrew ("Andy") Hillier is originally from South Africa where he graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria, (Onderstepoort) in 1982. After 2 years military service, he was in small animal primary care practice for 8 years in South Africa (Cape Town) and Australia (Perth). Dr. Hillier completed a residency in veterinary dermatology at the University of Florida from 1992-1994 and became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1994. Thereafter he established his own dermatology referral practice in Australia before heading back to the US in 1996 where he was on faculty at The Ohio State University for 17 years, becoming a Full Professor and Head of the Dermatology + Otology Service. He left Ohio State in May 2013 to join Zoetis as a Senior Veterinary Specialist. Dr. Hillier has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles, edited and written books and book chapters, and lectured extensively both in the US and internationally. His primary areas of interest are staphylococcal pyoderma, antimicrobial drugs, atopic dermatitis, otitis and demodicosis.

Helen Power, DVM, Dip. ACVD, Veterinary Specialty Team, Zoetis
Dr. Helen Power received her DVM from the University of California, Davis. After graduation, she initially pursued her professional interest in equine medicine by completing an internship and residency in Large Animal Medicine at Cornell University. She subsequently worked in equine and small animal practice, first in New Mexico, then northern California. Dr. Power returned to the University of California for a residency in dermatology and obtained Board Certification from the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1991.
Dr. Power started and managed her own veterinary dermatology practice in the southern San Francisco Bay area. After 20 years of clinical and practice ownership experience, she switched her focus to veterinary education, joining the Zoetis Animal Health’s Veterinary Specialty Team in 2011. Dr. Power has presented at numerous local, national, and international continuing education forums as well as taught at several veterinary schools. Throughout her professional career, she has continued to publish scientific articles and participate in research projects and clinical trials. Dr. Power has a special interest in feline dermatology and medicine.

Michele R. Rosenbaum, VMD, Dip ACVD, Veterinary Specialty Team, Zoetis
Dr. Michele Rosenbaum received her B.S. degree in Animal Bioscience from Penn State University where she was a member of the Scholars Program. She received her VMD with honors from the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. After 4 years of private small animal practice, she returned to the University of Pennsylvania and completed a residency in Dermatology and Allergy, obtaining board certification from the American College of Veterinary Dermatology that same year. Dr. Rosenbaum continued as a Lecturer in dermatology at Penn after completing her residency, serving as dermatology course organizer for the senior veterinary student dermatology lectures. She then started a private dermatology referral practice in Rochester, New York and has lectured extensively to veterinarians and published articles on a wide variety of dermatology topics. Her areas of particular interest include canine and feline atopic dermatitis and management of recurrent pyoderma. She is a member of the American Academy of Veterinary Dermatology and the American College of Veterinary Dermatology. She joined Zoetis’s Veterinary Specialty Team in 2006.
